Communication

People only like communication when the communicator is admitting a fault. People don’t want communication telling them that they are doing something that can go wrong. They don’t want to be warned. They don’t want to be confronted. They want affirmation. They want confession. All people think this way, at least for a time. Sin creeps in, becoming defensive of actions. No one wants to be told they are wrong, yet they typically enjoy pointing out when someone else is wrong. People don’t always like confrontation, so they hide from communication. So how can we warn someone? How can we show our communication and confrontation is out of care and love instead of just giving the person crap? How do we win against the Enemy in this fight?

“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” ~Colossians 4:6
